- "Originally from New York, for more than a decade, I have happily lived in New Mexico where I continue to market my landscapes. animal studies and other topics in the Rio Rancho/Albuquerque metropolitan area. Although recently I have diversified into another media, leather bowls, I remain primarily a painter working in a representational or "transcendent realistic" style. Known as a colorist, I use a unique conceptual approach to my studies that expresses the inner essence of the subject. The focus of my art is to capture what I see and sense in nature in such a manner that the viewers want to become participants having found a place in time where they would like to linger. Remaining accurate to the scene or subject before me, I create an overall design of connecting shapes and colors intending to instill a feeling of grace and power, drama and caprice that is the world about us as well as in us. By portraying those moments, scenes and subjects in life that are stimulating past and future memories, I hope that my viewers will use my interpretations as a guide to better appreciate and understand. Most of all I want my patrons to simply derive enjoyment from my work."
